Wardlow made history on AEW Dynamite by becoming the first wrestler to win the TNT Championship three times. He defeated Powerhouse Hobbs in a hard-hitting match that saw both men showcase their strength and power.

The match was not without interference, as QT Marshall and his QTV faction tried to help Hobbs retain his title. However, Wardlow had a surprise ally in Arn Anderson, who came out to even the odds. Anderson delivered a DDT to Marshall, paying tribute to his late friend and fellow Four Horseman, Dusty Rhodes.

With Marshall out of the picture, Wardlow unleashed his Powerbomb Symphony on Hobbs and pinned him for the victory. Wardlow celebrated with Anderson and his new manager, Tully Blanchard, who had announced their partnership earlier in the night.

Wardlow’s celebration was cut short by the arrival of Christian Cage and Luchasaurus, who challenged him for the TNT Championship. Cage said he wanted to face Wardlow at AEW Double or Nothing, while Luchasaurus said he wanted a rematch from their lumberjack match last year.

Wardlow accepted both challenges and said he was ready to defend his title against anyone. He said he was the best TNT Champion ever and that no one could stop him.

Wardlow’s third reign as TNT Champion comes after he lost the title to Hobbs in a Falls Count Anywhere match on March 8. He had previously won the title from Scorpio Sky on July 8, 2022, and from Cody Rhodes on December 16, 2020.

Wardlow joins Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin as the only wrestlers to win the TNT Championship three times. He also holds the record for the most combined days as TNT Champion, with 195 days as of April 20, 2023.
