Reigns last appeared on WWE TV at Raw after WrestleMania on April 3, 2023, where he was scheduled to compete in a tag team match along with his cousin Solo Sikoa against Brock Lesnar & Cody Rhodes. However, before the match could start, Lesnar turned on Rhodes, and the match was canceled.
But now it seems that Reigns is going to compete in a tag team match against his long-time rivals and the current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
According to Xero News & Boozer666, who has a good track record of breaking backstage stories, the Twitter user tweeted behind their protected account that Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa will challenge Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens for the tag titles at Night of Champions, and the feud will begin as soon as SmackDown tonight.

The tension within The Bloodline continued at Backlash on May 6, 2023, where The Usos and Solo Sikoa defeated Owens, Zayn, and Riddle in a six-man tag team match. Sikoa seemed conflicted about whether to attack Zayn or his brother Jey during the match but eventually pinned Riddle after a Samoan Spike.
Reigns will reach a massive milestone of 1000 days as Universal Champion on Night of Champions. If Reigns and Solo win the tag titles, then Reigns will hold three championships at once.
This would be a huge accomplishment for The Tribal Chief, who has been dominating WWE since his return at SummerSlam 2020. However, he will have to face some tough opposition from Owens and Zayn, who have been a formidable tag team since WrestleMania 39, where they defeated The Usos to claim the titles.
Will Reigns be able to keep his family together and add another title to his collection? Or will Owens and Zayn spoil his plans and retain their tag team gold? We will find out at Night of Champions on May 27, 2023.
As of now, nothing is officially announced for confirmation. We have to wait for tonight’s SmackDown episode to see how this story unfolds.
Stay tuned for more updates on WWE Night of Champions 2023.
