WWE is reportedly planning Cody Rhodes vs Bray Wyatt for SummerSlam 2023

WWE fans are in for a treat as the company is reportedly planning a blockbuster match between Cody Rhodes and Bray Wyatt for SummerSlam 2023. This would be the first time these two superstars would face each other in a WWE ring.

Cody Rhodes is currently feuding with Brock Lesnar, as the Beast cost Rhodes a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship contender match after losing to Cody Rhodes at Backlash. Cody is set to face Brock at Night of Champions on May 27, 2023.

Bray Wyatt, on the other hand, is currently listed in the unassigned category internally and has been absent from WWE television since before WrestleMania 39. Wyatt was scheduled to face Bobby Lashley at the Show of Shows, but he mysteriously vanished. Wyatt made his shocking return at Extreme Rules in October 2022.

According to a recent report from Xero News, WWE is planning Cody Rhodes vs Bray Wyatt at SummerSlam 2023. The report also stated that if Wyatt is not back or cleared by then, WWE could go with Cody vs Brock Lesnar for the third time at SummerSlam.

Alternatively, if Cody vs Wyatt happens at SummerSlam, then Cody vs Brock Lesnar III could take place at another event.

This would be a dream match for many wrestling fans, as both Cody and Wyatt are highly skilled and charismatic performers who have never crossed paths before.
