Mercedes Moné makes her first appearance since leaving WWE to challenge KAIRI for the IWGP Women’s Title
Kairi defeats Tam Nakano to retained her IWGP women’s title KAIRI received a surprise blackout prior to Sasha Banks’ first entry in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Former WWE champion Sasha Banks debuts at Wrestle Kingdom 17 as Mercedes Mone’, & attacked the champion.

Kairi & Mercedes will face each other in a title match at Battle in The Valley which will take place on February 18 in San Jose, California. Although it has not been officially announced by New Japan Pro-Wrestling .

Mercedes Varnado signed with WWE in late 2012 as Sasha Banks. She won NXT championship & After a three-year and made her main roster debut alongside Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch. Sasha Banks is a five-time RAW Women’s Champion, a three-time tag team titleholder, and WWE’s third Grand Slam Champion (adding RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and tag team titles).
On May 16, 2022, WWE was embroiled in a backstage controversy when Sasha Banks and Naomi left the venue where that night’s Monday Night RAW episode took place. Both superstars had an altercation with the company authorities regarding their creative situation, resulting in their subsequent indefinite suspension. Sasha became a free agent on January 1, 2023.
