The Betrayal of Don Callis
Don Callis had been Omega’s ally and representative since November 2020, when he helped him win the AEW World Championship from Moxley at Winter is Coming. Since then, Callis had been instrumental in Omega’s reign as the belt collector, securing him titles in IMPACT Wrestling, AAA, and ROH. He also tried to keep Omega away from the conflict between The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club, the faction led by Moxley.

However, on AEW Dynamite, Callis showed his true colors and turned on Omega in shocking fashion. As Omega was about to finish Moxley with a One Winged Angel from the top of the cage, Callis attacked him with a screwdriver and threw him down to the mat.
He then grabbed Omega by the hair and tossed him to Moxley, who pinned him for the win. Callis then walked away from the ring as the fans booed him loudly.
Why did Callis betray Omega? What does this mean for their relationship and for The Elite? What are his motives and plans? These are some of the questions that AEW fans are asking after this stunning turn of events.
The End of an Era
Steel cage match between Moxley and Omega was not only a thrilling spectacle, but also a historic moment in AEW history. It marked the end of an era that began in 2019, when Moxley made his debut at Double or Nothing and attacked Omega.
Since then, they had been involved in some of the most memorable and violent matches in AEW, such as the Unsanctioned Lights Out match at Full Gear 2019, the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch at Revolution 2021, and the Steel Cage match at Dynamite.
