Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley had their first confrontation before their match at WrestleMania 39 during the broadcast of the last episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. However, the segment did not go as we all expected.
The SmackDown Women’s Champion was the first to appear on the scene, making her classic ring entrance. Once over the ring, she picked up a microphone. “35 days to WrestleMania,” Flair noted before requesting Ripley’s presence. However, she got no response. Flair hinted that her opponent was afraid, at which point she was interrupted by Dominik Mysterio.
Dominic replied that she was jealous because Rhea Ripley is the sexiest woman in WWE, which made Flair laugh.
“Look at that smile. You should smile more often. You’re a beautiful woman,” Dominik declared before assuring her that Rhea is much more of a woman than she is. “Rhea is strong, very strong, so strong that her hugs make my back crack.” Charlotte decided to interrupt him. “I already have a Latino man at home who calls me ‘mami’, and he has a stronger accent,” Flair said, referring to her husband, Andrade el Ídolo.
At that moment, Rhea decided to show up to prevent Dominik from being attacked. After going up to the ring, she faced Charlotte. After a few moments, Dominik decided to take her from there and avoid a physical confrontation. As they left, Flair took the title from him and raised it, causing the heel to return to the ring. There, he faced the champion again before finally leaving with Dominik.
