Carlito, the former Intercontinental and United States Champion, has reportedly re-signed with WWE after a decade-long absence.
The news was confirmed by Devon Nicholson, the promoter of Great North Wrestling in Canada, who said that Carlito had to cancel his appearance at one of his shows because of his new contract with WWE.
This was reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, who said that Carlito had informed Nicholson of his signing with WWE.
“Carlito had an independent show scheduled for July 15 for Devon Nicholson in Canada, and he called him to cancel it and told him that he has signed with WWE. So … maybe he has signed with WWE. That’s what Devon Nicholson said today.” Meltzer said.
He made a surprise return at the Royal Rumble 2021, where he impressed the fans with his physique and charisma. He also appeared at Backlash 2023, where he helped Bad Bunny defeat Damian Priest in a celebrity match.
It is not clear what role Carlito will have in WWE, but fans are excited to see him back in action.
