Backstage update on Edge’s contract status after SmackDown

Since then, he has been involved in some of the biggest matches and feuds in WWE, such as against Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins.

However, Edge’s future in WWE is uncertain, as he revealed that his last match on SmackDown was also the last match of his current WWE contract. Edge defeated Sheamus in a hard-fought battle. After the show ends he said that he did not know what his future holds, and that he would discuss it with his family.

This left many fans wondering if Edge would re-sign with WWE, join its rival promotion AEW, or retire from wrestling altogether.

According to a recent report from WrestleVotes, Edge has not signed a new deal with WWE as of now. The report also stated that the feeling among creative and others in WWE is that of unknown and that the ball is truly in Edge’s court. This means that Edge has the power to decide his fate and that WWE is waiting for his decision.

What do you think should Edge do? Should he re-sign with WWE and continue his legendary career? Should he go to AEW and explore new opportunities and challenges? Or should he retire from wrestling and focus on his health and family? Feel free to write down your thoughts in the comments section below.
