WWE has changed plans regarding The Rock, The Rock will no longer be seen in WrestleMania 38. WWE wants to have The Rock vs Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania 39.
The Rock’s last appearance in Vince McMahon’s company took place at the SmackDown 20th anniversary celebration on October 4, 2019 during a segment where he teamed up with Becky Lynch, to destroy Baron Corbin.
Last month there were some reports that The Rock might return to WWE at Survivor Series in November this year and could lay the foundation for the match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 2022. Although he may still come to Survivor Series, But recently, according to a report from Ringside News, the wait to watch the match between Roman Reigns and The Rock has increased by a year, it was because of the Rock’s Hollywood busy schedule and WWE’s current plans have changed. We’ll see The Rock in to the ring in 2023 at WrestleMania 39.
Wrestling fans have been speculating for the last two years for the dream match between The Rock and current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. In March this year, The Rock hinted his return to the WWE and fights with Roman Reigns. Obviously, Roman Reigns has also said on several occasions that he is eager to work with The Rock in the ring.

According to a report by PW Insider, Brock Lesnar’s return has happened ahead of time, so the company can book Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania 38 and The Rock can see us when WrestleMania returns to the Hollywood/Los Angeles area in 2023.
