John Cena made his triumphant return to the go-home episode of Friday Night SmackDown before WWE Payback. He expressed his gratitude to the WWE Universe and vowed to give his best in every match. You can watch the full segment in the video below.
“Every time I get the chance to be here in the ring, I will thank you for everything and all the support you have given me. Well, look, you have given me the opportunity to return home to my WWE family,” Cena said.
“As you have given me, I promise to give you the best from me starting with TONIGHT.”
However, his speech was interrupted by Jimmy Uso, who claimed that everyone was there for him, not Cena. Jimmy accused Cena of being a selfish opportunist.
“What are you doing here John? Everyone is here FOR ME,” Jimmy said.
“I wanted to protect my brother from ending up corrupted like you, John Cena. You are the same as Roman Reigns, they take and grab opportunities, but the only difference you have with Roman Reigns is that you take everything with a smile.”
Cena did not take kindly to Jimmy’s words and delivered AA to him, sending a clear message to his rival. It seems that Cena has found his next opponent in Jimmy Uso, who is looking for revenge after losing his brother to Reigns.
