Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio will have their Hell In A Cell match on Friday Night SmackDown The Tribal Chief agreed to advance the fight announced for this Sunday
A few days ago, WWE confirmed that Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio inside the infernal cage at Hell In A Cell 2021. However, recently the company confirmed that the fight will be brought forward two days and the fight will take place tonight on Friday Night SmackDown.
Last week, Rey Mysterio called the Universal champion after the attack suffered by him and his son Dominik. “The Tribal Chief” came out to the ring and received a challenge from the masked man to a Hell in a Cell match for the Universal Championship. A few hours ago, Mysterio wrote a Twitter message that said, “This is eating me up inside. I can’t wait any longer. I want the Hell In A Cell fight tomorrow night.”
Roman Reigns accepted the challenge and wrote on his Twitter account: “Sunday. Friday. Any day. I don’t care. It will be my pleasure to dishonor what remains of your last name on SmackDown inside the infernal cell.” My special advisor Paul Heyman will handle the paperwork. I will personally take care of going to war. ”

WWE ended up making this match official by publishing a press release about the match. We recall that along with this title match, it was announced that for tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Baron Corbin will defend his King Of The Ring tournament crown against Shinsuke Nakamura, Commander Azeez will debut in the blue brand joining Apollo Crews to face Kevin Owens and Big E and finally, Angelo Dawkins will face Otis in a hand-to-hand combat.
