NXT superstar Johnny Gargano has decided not to continue in the WWE company and becomes a free agent This ends Johnny Gargano’s career in WWE after 6 long years.

Johnny Gargano’s situation with WWE is giving a lot to talk about. There are some executives in the company who think that Johnny is only going to take a short paternity leave, but it seems that Johnny has already made up his mind about his future.

As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Johnny Gargano leaves WWE and becomes a free agent at midnight today, December 9, 2021. He and WWE have not reached an agreement to extend the wrestler’s contract.

 

Fightful also stated that WWE made great efforts to try to retain the wrestler, however, finally he has decided not to continue in the company. With this ends the passage of Johnny Gargano by WWE for the moment; the wrestler signed with the company in mid-2015 and says goodbye after 6 years of work in the company.

Johnny Gargano has reaped a great career in WWE having been crowned 3 times North American champion, 1 time NXT tag team champion with his partner Tommaso Ciampa, and once maximum champion of the brand. Johnny even managed to win the award for the best feud of the year alongside Ciampa in 2018 for both Pro Wrestling Illustrated and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
