The match started with both superstars evenly matched, with neither gaining an early advantage. After exchanging Clotheslines, Danielson managed to hit his signature Psycho Knee, earning him the first point of the match.

However, MJF was not far behind, scoring two straight pinfalls to even the score. With 25 minutes to go and both wrestlers exhausted, MJF executed a top-rope vault onto his opponent at a table, which was followed by a Tombstone Piledriver, giving him the third fall.

Danielson managed to even the score once again with another Psycho Knee, followed by the Lock to the neck. The action began to pick up with only five minutes left on the scoreboard. Danielson went for the Boston Crab, but MJF refused to surrender, leading to Tony Khan ordering one last sudden-death fall to determine the winner.

After resisting a neck lock, MJF sneakily attacked Danielson with an oxygen tube, applying the LeBell Lock and causing him to submit. With this victory, MJF successfully defended his AEW World Championship title for the second time in his reign.

He won the title 104 days ago at the Full Gear 2022 pay-per-view by defeating Jon Moxley. The victory against Bryan Danielson at AEW Revolution 2023 has cemented his position as the top superstar in AEW.

MJF’s success in the match has solidified his position as one of the top wrestlers in AEW, and fans will no doubt be eagerly anticipating his next challenge.
