AEW Dynamite episode 214 airs today from Portland on TBS. The show starts with MJF, the AEW champ, talking about Jay White. Adam Cole mocks him on the screen. Daniel Garcia challenges him to a match. Roderick Strong and The Kingdom also appear and argue with MJF and Cole.

AEW Dynamite Results & Video Highlights

AEW World Championship Match: MJF  vs. Daniel Garcia

A close match with both men showing their skills. MJF pokes Daniel in the eyes and works on his shoulder. Daniel hits a one-armed dance and a brainbuster for near falls. MJF escapes the Dragontamer and wins with the Salt of the Earth.

Winner: MJF.

MJF offers a handshake, but Daniel’s partners stop him.

Darby Allin & Sting vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd)

Darby and Truth start. The Outrunners isolate Darby, but Sting tags in and dominates them. He makes Truth tap out to the Scorpion Deathlock.

Winners: Darby Allin & Sting.

Tony Schiavone interviews Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm. Storm blames Shida for ruining her plans to be a three-time champion. She says Shida will never have the spotlight. She signs the contract for Full Gear. Shida says she will beat Storm as usual.

Swerve Strickland vs. Penta The Zero Fear

A fast-paced match with both men showing their agility and strength. Penta hits a Destroyer and a Foot Stomp for a near fall. Swerve counters a Fear Factor and works on Penta’s arm. He finishes him with a Swerve Stomp.

Winner: Swerve Strickland.

Swerve tries to unmask Penta, but Hangman Page runs in with a chair. He attacks Swerve and Security. He hits a Deadeye on Swerve through tables.

Alex Marvez interviews Jay White and Bullet Club Gold. White makes fun of MJF’s Google Trends and tofu remarks. He says he is better than everyone and truly elite. He vows to prove it.

Renee Paquette interviews Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho. They talk about their friends, like Kota Ibushi and Paul Wight. The Young Bucks interrupt and bash them. They challenge them for Full Gear. Jericho bets their title shot, the Bucks bet their team’s future. Omega agrees.

ROH TV Championship Match: Samoa Joe  vs. Keith Lee

A hard-hitting match with both men throwing each other around. Joe works on Lee’s leg, but Lee hits a one-armed dance and a brainbuster. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch and makes Lee pass out.

Winner: Samoa Joe.

Joe says he is the best TV champion ever, but he vacates the title. He says he wants the AEW World Championship and MJF.

Orange Cassidy sends a message to Jon Moxley. He says he wants to beat him to be the International Champion he knows he is. He says he will do it at Full Gear.

The Gunns beat Bollywood Boys quickly with 3.10 to Yuma.

The Gunns mock MJF and say they are generational talents. They say they will win the tag titles at Full Gear. They say guns up.

MJF watches from backstage. Samoa Joe confronts him and MJF leaves.

Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta reply to Orange Cassidy. Moxley says he is a predator and he will teach Yuta a lesson. He says they will have a gang battle with LAX. Yuta says they messed with the wrong team.

Red Velvet vs. Julia Hart

A competitive match, with Julia dominating at first and throwing Velvet into the steps. Velvet fights back with kicks and a Standing Moonsault. She hits an Iconoclasm for a near fall. Julia counters with a Moonsault and wins.

Winner: Julia Hart.

Julia attacks Velvet after the match. Skye Blue confronts her. Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale also come out. Kris gets between them and Julia leaves.

RJ City introduces Mariah May, a new AEW wrestler from STARDOM. She says she is a fan of RJ and Toni Storm. RJ says he will introduce them next week. May kisses him on the cheek.  

 Jay White vs. Mark Briscoe

A thrilling match, with Mark starting strong and hitting a Brainbuster for a near fall. Jay gets help from The Gunns and Juice Robinson, who interfere and distract Mark. Jay hits a DDT and a Sleeper Suplex. Mark fights back with a Death Valley Driver and a Froggy Bow, but Jay kicks out. Jay finishes Mark with a Blade Runner.

Winner: Jay White.

 MJF ambushes Jay White after his match and taunts him with the AEW title. He says he will die before he lets Jay take it from him, and dedicates his fight to his friends and fans. But then, the lights go out and masked men attack The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass backstage. MJF rushes to help them, only to see Samoa Joe laughing at him.
